Same-day

Order before 11 AM. Served by end of day.

Same-day process serving for hearing-bound deadlines — restraining order responses, eviction notices, TRO replies. $99 standard / $159 rush / $229 same-day. California metros covered; rest of country covered with rush turnaround.

Short answer

Same-day service means a licensed process server attempts at the defendant’s address within 4–6 hours of dispatch. Available in CA metros (LA / SF / SD / OC / Sacramento) when the order is received before 11 AM local. Rural counties or out-of-state same-day depends on server coverage; we surface availability before you pay.

How it works

Step 1

Upload + AI extracts

Drop the complaint + summons. Claude pulls parties, address, court, caption. ~2 min.

Step 2

Address verified + server dispatched

AI checks against Mapbox; account manager confirms; closest licensed server in the metro is dispatched within 30 min.

Step 3

GPS-stamped attempt

Server arrives at the target address, attempts service, voice-records what happened. You see live updates in /me/cases.

Step 4

Proof of service same day

POS-040 drafted from the attempt log, human-reviewed, server-signed under CCP §2015.5, PDF mailed to you within hours.

Same-day pricing

Flat-rate per case. No subscriptions. No success fees.

Standard (3–5 business days)$99

CA metros guaranteed when ordered before 11 AM local. Outside the CA flagship markets we quote case-by-case based on the nearest server’s availability — full pricing is shown before you pay.

Common mistakes

Ordering after 1pm and expecting same-day

Most attempts succeed before 8pm but the 11am cutoff is what guarantees coverage. Past 11am we still try but switch to rush (next-business-day).

Wrong defendant address

Avoid the "I think they moved last year" guess — if the home attempt fails we log the failed attempt with photo + GPS proof and either re-dispatch to a fresh address you provide or run skip-trace as a paid add-on.

Asking for personal service on a corp defendant

CCP §416.10 requires service on the registered agent or an authorized officer. We auto-look up the agent address from the SOS registry.

FAQ

What counts as "same day"?

First attempt at the defendant address on the same business day the order is placed, when received before 11am local time in a flagship CA metro. Outside flagship metros we quote case-by-case.

What if the first attempt fails?

Same-day pricing covers up to 5 attempts. Follow-up attempts (CCP §415.20 diligence requires 3+) are folded into the $229 Expedited tier — no extra charge per attempt.

Can you serve a non-business-day same-day?

Weekend + holiday service is courier-add-on; not all servers are available. Best-effort, quoted in advance.

Refund policy?

Money-back if we don't make every attempt in your service window. See /refund-policy for the exact terms.

Need it served today?

Upload your documents. We’ll show same-day availability for the defendant’s address before you pay.

Servd is an AI-assisted process serving platform, not a law firm. Same-day availability depends on the server coverage at the target address. We quote availability before you pay. Not legal advice; consult an attorney about your case.
