Common questions.
If your situation isn't here, start a chat and we'll answer specifically.
What is the cut-off for same-day service?
Orders confirmed before 12:00 PM local time are served the same business day. Orders between 12 PM and 3 PM are best-effort same-day. After 3 PM, the first attempt is first thing the next morning, still inside the Expedited SLA.
What happens if no one answers the door?
You receive a declaration of attempt with GPS and photo on the same day. From there, you can roll the case into a Standard 5-attempt cycle (credit applied) or order a follow-up same-day attempt.
Can Expedited handle multiple defendants at the same address?
Yes. Two defendants served in one trip is one Expedited order. Three or more is split across two Expedited orders priced concurrently.
Does Expedited include evenings and weekends?
Weekday Expedited runs until 8 PM. Weekend and holiday same-day is available with a $50 surcharge; quoted at order confirmation. For routine after-hours service, see After-Hours Notary or schedule a Stakeout.
What if the defendant evades on the Expedited attempt?
The single-attempt declaration plus the prior address verification often supports an ex parte motion for substituted service. We can also escalate to two additional Rush follow-up attempts within the next 24 hours.
