Common questions.
If your situation isn't here, start a chat and we'll answer specifically.
How long does recording take?
Most counties record within 1-3 business days. Same-day eRecording is available in many California counties; the recorded copy with index data returns within a few hours of submission.
How are recorder fees charged?
Passed through at cost with no markup, on top of the $59 Recording Service fee. Documentary transfer tax (where applicable) is also passed through at cost.
What if the recorder rejects the document?
You are notified with the rejection reason. We hold the document, run any required fixes you authorize, and re-submit at no additional service fee. Recorder fees are typically not charged on rejection.
Do you handle the cover sheet and required forms?
Yes — most counties require a specific cover sheet (PCOR for property transfers, etc.). We prepare and include the correct cover sheet for the document type.
