By role

For solo attorneys.

Same workflow as the big firms — chat in, affidavit out — no minimum volume, transparent flat rates, mobile-first.

Solo attorneys are paralegal, partner, and back-office all at once. Servd is built so an attorney can order a serve from a phone in five seconds — drop the PDF, confirm the caption, swipe Apple Pay. We never gate the workflow behind firm-size requirements, minimum-volume contracts, or tiered pricing.

Flat rates are flat rates. No mileage surprises (35 miles included), no rush surcharge that wasn't shown at checkout, no monthly platform fee. If you order three serves a year and one a quarter is rush, that is what the bill looks like. The chat surface is the same one the big firms use — same dispatcher, same server network, same affidavit format — at the same per-case price.

Status is mobile-first. When you're in court and the judge asks if the defendant has been served, you can pull up the affidavit on your phone. Push notifications when a service attempts, completes, or files an affidavit. Calendar export for hearing dates the firm tracks for you. Tail-end status — wherever you are.

Why it matters

What's hard about this and how we handle it

The specific challenges the workflow is designed for.

In-chat ordering, no minimums

Drop the PDF in chat, confirm the caption, pay. Order one serve a year and pay the same flat rate a 50-firm pays per case. No platform fees, no monthly subscription, no tier gates.

Transparent flat pricing

Nationwide flat rate: $99 Standard, $159 Rush, $229 Expedited (same-day). Mileage included up to 35 miles. No surcharges added at checkout. The price you see in chat is the price on the receipt. Firms with 11+ cases/month get an automatic volume discount.

Mobile-friendly status

Push notifications when the server is en route, when an attempt completes, when the affidavit signs. Pull up the affidavit on your phone in the hallway outside the courtroom. Calendar export of hearing-date deadlines.

Apple Pay and card-on-file

Square Web Payments SDK lives in the chat. Apple Pay one-tap. Card on file for repeat work. No invoicing setup unless you want it; we keep solo onboarding to under a minute.

AI-drafted affidavit format

The affidavit comes back in proper CCP §2015.5 declarant language with the server's license number, GPS-stamped attempts, and a signed PDF ready to file. You don't edit. You file.

I run a four-case-a-month family practice. Servd works the same way it does for the 100-case firms. I ordered a serve in chat at 9pm last Tuesday and the affidavit was in my inbox Thursday at lunch.

FAQ

Questions

What paralegals and pro se litigants ask most often.

Do I need any kind of invoice account?

No. Pay per case with a card or Apple Pay through Square at order time. Servd does not offer Net-15, Net-30, or any deferred-payment terms — every case is paid up-front. Most solos prefer card-on-file simplicity; you can pull an end-of-month statement with attorney + matter codes when you need it.

How much volume to qualify?

None. Solo attorneys access the full B2B workflow at the firm flat rate regardless of volume.

Can I export affidavits to my case management system?

We email the signed PDF directly to whatever address you set. Most solo attorneys forward to Clio or MyCase. Native Clio + MyCase sync is on the roadmap.

What if I need to talk to a human?

Email support@servd.com or open a chat. We respond within business hours. We don't run an outbound call center but we'll get back to you fast.

Can I serve outside California?

Yes — all 50 states and federal courts are live. Our flagship benches are California, Texas, Florida, New York, and Illinois, but we serve every county nationwide at the same flat rate.
