Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Every Los Angeles case routes through the superior court at some point — for filing, for hearing, or for courtesy-copy delivery. Here's the lay of the land.

What makes this county different.
LA County is the largest civil docket in the United States, and the geography is unforgiving — a single served defendant can be 60 miles from the central courthouse, on the other side of a mountain range, or behind three layers of gated-community security. CCP §415.20 sub-service applies countywide once three diligent attempts at different times of day have been logged. LA also has the densest cluster of high-rise corporate addresses in the state, which means doorman buildings, mailroom-routed acceptance, and registered-agent service via the California Secretary of State are routine.
Common challenges we plan for
- Gated communities in Bel Air, Calabasas, and Palos Verdes require concierge coordination or pre-arranged access
- High-rise doorman buildings downtown (Bunker Hill, South Park) restrict floor access without appointment
- Traffic between South Bay, San Fernando Valley, and the Antelope Valley extends typical drive time to 90+ minutes
- Evasive defendants in entertainment industry frequently use PO boxes, business managers, and gated estates as buffer
- Wide industrial zones in Vernon, City of Industry, and Carson have addresses that do not match Google Maps placement
